Connecting Activists with Resourced Allies

Connected for Justice is a civic matchmaking service that mobilizes individuals toward collective social action in the face of unexpected social incidents.

Date: 2014-08-18
Services: Web development, Branding, Project Management

Brief

Based in St. Louis, Connected for Justice was created in the midst of incidents steering from the Michael Brown murder in Ferguson, MO.

As protestors, activists, and allies marched, shouted, and activated themselves for change on-the-ground, community members faced early challenges with staying connected in the various spaces they navigated beyond Ferguson. Connected for Justice filled a key gap by matching individuals to collaborators, groups, and organizations that committed to actualize actions and initiatives. Idea-creators connected with individuals seeking ways to help as Connected for Justice challenged participants to spark daily, immediate, short-term, and/or long-term commitments and responses to crises.
